About

Hope cuts both ways. It provides ephemeral felicity but leaves you with haunting despair.

Hello. I am Kelly. I am an author and a music enthusiast. I casually write prose for my pastime. I do post stories in different forums typically under the alias of Fishykek or TheWabbit. I reflect about different topics at my Twitter profile. Otherwise, I spend my time broadening my lexicon.

The blog's etymology branches into Latin words. As a person interested in the twisted fields of dark themes, I chose the word noctem, a Latin word which translates to night. The concept of nightfall intrigues me. It's an allegory to conflict, downfall, chaos, despair, and discord. It's the opposite of euphoria and hope. The second half, nota, translates to, you guessed it, note. The word branches into multiple translations. One can interpret it as a mark, something that is etched on a surface. Another may place it as a nod to my fervor for music. Combining both words gives the phrase night note, which is also one of my main methods of gaining inspiration in writing.

The blog will function both as a relay of thoughts regarding daily life and most probably fiction. I'm looking forward to having a unified place to share my own writings for others to enjoy and critique. In addition to both miscellaneous routines, I will also include my experiences in my Media and Information Literacy class.

Looking forward to our adventures!
